I love pasta

Last night’s dinner was yummy and simple, unlike the previous night’s, which was gross and made me wonder what I was thinking (note to self: don’t try to make lentils when you’re out of things like onions and boullion cubes or broth unless you’re following a recipe with very good suggestions for alternate seasonings. Also, chana dal seems to need soaking before you cook it. That grainy texture can’t be right).

Last night I made pasta with mushrooms and kalamata olives. I sautéd mushroom slices in a little clarified butter, chopped and added the olives, and then mixed it with rigatoni. Mmm.

The socks I’ve been knitting are nearly finished now, too. I just have an inch or two to finish. Soon I will have toasty warm feet all day.
